I am a huge fan of Nutella. After reading David Lebovitz’s blog and how he raved over the hazelnut spread from Jean Charles Rochoux, I felt that I had to buy it when I was in Paris. Situated in a nondescript street in the 16th arrondissement, I nearly missed the shop when I was there. At €9.70, this spread didn’t come cheap. Then again, nothing much comes cheap in Paris. It took me quite some effort to get there, so why oh why did I only get 2 jars??!! Spread a generous amount on toasted bread and take a bite. There is heaven on earth after all. Without a commercial grade grinder, there is no way I can replicate something like this at home. We will never be able to settle for Nutella again. Fat Man and I are forever ruined.
PS: Their chocolate coated almonds are fabulous too.
