With huge numbers of expats residing in Hong Kong, some western holidays are huge here. Although there is no public holiday for Halloween, many retailers decorate their shops with pumpkins and ghouls, clubs and pubs (esp those in LKF) also deck out in spooky decoration to create a creepy atmosphere. This is no exception for the 2 major amusement parks (ie Ocean Park and Disneyland) in Hong Kong either. Halloween is a big thing in Ocean Park. During October, the park opens till late on weekends, and the whole park is littered with haunted houses for visitors game for a scream (or two). There are also many characters roaming the park looking for victims to scare (or take pictures with). The rides are also open but the aquariums and other animal attracts will be closed by evening. Due to the massive crowds, do get the fast pass ticket if you can afford it as it can save you lots of queuing time. Have a great Halloween everyone!
