I have been to Bangkok umpteen times for a few reasons: street food, cheap shopping and close proximity to Singapore. With the introduction of budget airlines in Singapore, going to Bangkok has never been easier. What’s more, the hotels are so cheap. For S$120, you can stay in a pretty decent place.
There are so many street side hawkers and stalls in Bangkok that there is literally no need to eat in restaurants or food courts. In addition, the variety of food is huge, so there is bound to be something for everyone. When deciding to eat from a roadside cart or stall, do exercise some care and common sense. If it is way too dirty then don’t do it! Although I must say that I never get an upset tummy from eating them ever. Trust me, some of the places I have been to are quite dirty. Here are some of the stuff I tried during the last trip.
