Eagle Farm Markets is held every Sunday at Brisbane racecourse in Ascot. While I didn’t manage to catch any horse racing action here, I did went back with a shopping bag full of seasonal mangoes, watermelon and honey. I definitely prefer buying here as compared to the supermarket the fruits are much cheaper and better quality. A $2 entry charge is required for this market. In addition to the usual farmers’ produce available at the markets, there are also stalls here selling art work, clothes, bags and accessories. This is a great place to spend the Sunday morning strolling around and having breakfast. There are many food stalls available selling everything from asian cuisine to artisan coffees.
