Singapore: Art Science Museum (The Deep exhibition)

This was my first visit to the ArtScience Museum at the Marina Bay Sands as the current exhibition on deep sea creatures piqued my interest.  Being lazy and on holiday mood, we got up late, and went out late, and got there late…. You get the picture. As a result, we only had 1 hour to explore the whole exhibition.

With the blazing sun above our heads, the ArtScience Museum was a cool refuge for us. The exhibition area is purposely darkened to showcase the illuminated photos and specimens from the depths of the ocean in several themed zones. The exhibition also emphasizes on the needs for conservation in order to preserve our rich varieties of sea creatures. There was a huge video screening area which plays a National Geographic video related to this exhibition. Visitors can sit and relax on the beanbags available on the floor.

Throughout the exhibition period, there are also workshops held for kids and the schedule can be found here. For the general public, there are also guided tours (in English and Mandarin) at designated timings. All in all, I felt that the exhibition was an eye opener and definitely a must see for those who wants to find out the creatures lurking in the deep oceans. If you have a couple of hours to spare, do check it out before it ends on 27 October 2015.
